Getting started
4 questionsAccounts, trials, and getting Maxmiize running on your Mac.
Create your account from the Sign in link at the top of this page, then choose Create account. You'll need an email address and a password; we send a verification link to confirm the address before your account goes live.
You can also sign in with Apple if you'd rather not manage another password. If you later want a password as well, you can set one from your account settings in the coach portal.
The trial runs for 7 days and needs no payment method. Start it from inside the desktop app after signing in — the app will offer it on first launch if your account has never trialled before.
The trial unlocks Basic (iPad) or Pro (Desktop), so you can work through a real game and see which tier fits before paying for anything.
The current macOS build is on our Download page. It always serves the latest published release, so you don't need to hunt for a version number.
The app checks for updates itself once installed.
- macOS 12.0 (Monterey) or later
- Apple Silicon or Intel
- 8 GB RAM minimum
Beyond that it depends on your footage: more RAM and free disk space make multi-angle work with long games noticeably smoother, since everything is stored and processed locally on your Mac.
Products & plans
4 questionsWhich tier does what, and which one fits your program.
- Basic (iPad) — analyze, code, and create film from the iPad, for coaches who work courtside rather than at a desk.
- Pro (Desktop) — the full macOS film room: multi-angle capture, tagging with custom hotkeys, annotation, playlists, and presentation mode. This is the right default if you break down film regularly.
- Elite (Desktop + AI) — everything in Pro, plus Live Capture and the AI-assisted analysis layer.
Current pricing for each tier is on our Pricing section. Still not sure? Book a demo and we'll talk through your workflow.
Not today. Maxmiize is a native macOS application (12.0 Monterey or later, Apple Silicon or Intel), and the Basic tier targets iPad. There is no Windows build.
If Windows support would decide it for your program, tell us — it genuinely affects what we build next.
The Basic (iPad) tier is listed on the pricing page but is not yet purchasable — it ships in a later phase. The desktop tiers are available now.
Leave us your email and we'll let you know when iPad opens up.
Elite adds an AI-assisted analysis layer on top of everything in Pro. It is designed to take the mechanical passes off your plate so your time goes into interpretation rather than logging.
Because this area is moving quickly, the Desktop + AI section of our Help Center is the place we keep current — it describes exactly what the present build does, and what it does not.
Devices & licenses
3 questionsSeats, activations, and working without a connection.
Pro and Elite seats each activate up to 2 Macs — typically an office machine and a travel laptop. Basic covers a single iPad.
Signing in through this website or the coach portal never consumes a seat: only desktop activations count.
Deactivate the old machine, then activate the new one — the seat frees up immediately. You can do this from the Seats screen in the coach portal, or from the old Mac itself if you still have it.
This means a replaced or stolen laptop never permanently costs you a seat.
Yes. Maxmiize is offline-first: your projects, film, tags, and annotations live in the app's local database on your Mac, and nothing about analyzing a game needs a connection.
Only license validation happens online, and it carries a grace window — so a gym with no signal, a bus, or a flight is a normal working environment, not a problem. Reconnect occasionally and the app revalidates on its own.
Billing
3 questionsChanging plans, cancelling, and team purchasing.
Both are self-service from Billing in the coach portal. Switching tiers takes effect immediately and is prorated, so you only pay the difference for the remainder of the period.
Cancelling stops future renewals and leaves your access running to the end of the period you've already paid for.
Licensed features lock, and your work stays yours. Projects, film, tags, annotations, and playlists remain on your Mac exactly where they were — the app never deletes them.
Resubscribe later and everything is still there.
Yes. Seats are sold per coach and can be managed together under one organization, so a staff shares billing and an admin can move seats between people as the season changes.
For a whole program, athletic department, or federation, get in touch and we'll put together something that fits.
Support
2 questionsWhere to get help and find deeper documentation.
Use the contact form on this site — it reaches the support inbox directly and is the fastest route to a human.
Telling us your macOS version and what you were doing when something went wrong usually saves a round trip.
Our Help Center is linked from the top of every page. It covers getting started, the desktop film room, the AI layer, iPad, and account and billing questions in more depth than this FAQ.
There are also short workflow videos on the Tutorials page.
